Music Education Day on March 14, 2026, at TU Dortmund University

The North Rhine-Westphalia branch of the German Music Teachers' Association is hosting a music education day on March 14, 2025, at TU Dortmund University in the premises of the Department of Music and Movement in Rehabilitation and Education for People with Disabilities [MuB].
Students, trainee teachers, and teachers from all types of schools who want to further their education in music and, above all, exchange ideas are invited to attend.
A total of three workshops will be offered in two workshop tracks. In the first track, participants can choose between the special education workshop “Song Design in Inclusive Learning Groups” by Pascal Vogt (former lecturer in the department) and the workshop “Successful Lessons.” In Successful Lessons, Teresa Bommes and Lotta Sukiennik-Gerritzen will present practical examples from their teaching experience.
After the lunch break, there is a practical vocal workshop that deals with singing with children and young people.
The Music Education Day was co-organized by Felix Piltz from the MuB department team, who has been contributing his expertise in special education as an assessor on the state board of the BMU NRW for several years.
